The glass wool produced by us is created using more than 75% recycled glass from the environment, thus contributing to reducing the ecological footprint of the product.
GecsaTherm® mineral wool products are environmentally friendly products. The consumption of materials and energy required for the production of glass mineral wool is very low.
From 1 m3 of raw material 100 m3 of mineral glass wool is obtained. 1 ton of GecsaTherm® mineral wool used in insulation helps save 8 tons of CO2 that would be discharged into the environment each year.
Using GecsaTherm® mineral wool for insulation, the heat requirement is drastically reduced due to the reduction of thermal losses leading to the reduction of the consumption of solid, liquid or gaseous fuels to obtain the heat. The same is true for summer in the case of air conditioning. The state-of-the-art technology used in the production process allows obtaining a glass mineral wool optimized for a variety of applications. The raw materials introduced into the melting furnace are carefully selected and controlled throughout the production process until the melt is obtained with a viscosity that allows the correct fibrillation process to be executed and an inert finished product, stable in time and totally free of non-fibrous material.
GecsaTherm® glass mineral wool products contain on average 95% glass fiber and 5% resin, mineral oils and other additives for hydroformed products.
The result of this production process is a series of mineral wool products in the form of rollers or semi-rigid plates of the highest quality and performance.
